In order to progress quickly and sure effective and fair distribution of loot we have decided on a Loot Master/Loot Council approach to raid drops. Please note in addition to this all greens and blues that drop in raid and to be disenchanted and put in the raid tab.

The Loot Master is something that each Raid Leader will decide on. Sometimes the Loot Master and Raid Leader may be the same, other times they will be different. In 10 and 25-man raids, there is to be 1 loot master and a loot council of 3 (one of which must be a non-officer). The loot master can be one of the three loot council members.

If the raid you are running is marked as an ALT RUN, please take a look at the additional rules HERE

1. Only Loot Master may loot

2. Loot Master will put all items that dropped into raid chat

3. Loot Master will then put each item in Raid Warning to be assigned

4. Those interested in the item will link their current item for that slot in raid chat

5. Loot is assigned out in a fashion that most helps the guild. What this means most times is:
Raider Main Spec>Member Main Spec>Guest Main Spec>Any Off Set or ALT

6. If the Loot Council feels that 2 or more players are very close in the upgrade they may have those players roll for loot.

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
Q: I usually bring my hunter but I decided to bring my mage tonight can I roll with our normal mage on gear that drops?
A: No, your priority is that of an ALT. What this means is you will be given gear at the same time a Guest would be given gear but before people would be allowed to roll for an off-set. Please see rules for ALTS and Off-Sets posted HERE.

Q: I usually bring my hunter but my raid leader asked that I bring my mage tonight for some reason. Can I roll with our normal mage on gear that drops?
A: No, you will still count as an ALT. However, there are some modifications to the normal ALT loot rules. Please see THIS thread.

Q: I am not a Raiding Member. I only come in as a fill-in a few nights a month. What happens if a huge upgrade drops for my shaman and the other shaman in the group of the same spec is a regular raider?
A: If that person chooses to roll for it then they take priority on the upgrade. However, bear in mind that person may choose not to roll. Additionally, a small upgrade or a side grade for a raider may be over ruled and given to a non-raider. Things can get a little fuzzy here and it is your Loot Council’s final decision but be aware the basic rule is the Raiding Member gets it first.

Q: Is my toon's guild rank equivalent to its raiding rank?
A: No the main/alt status of a toon for raiding is separate from main/alt status of that toon for the guild

Q: Who determines which toon is a main?
A: The main raiding toon is decided by the individual member. IE if my "main" in the guild is my hunter but I would prefer my main raiding toon to be my druid that is more than fine. However, once a main is chosen on a team that choice is more than less final.
